Steve Sossin: Producer/Engineer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist songwriter/arranger.

Steve first picked up a guitar at age 6-1/2 while watching a young Glen Campbell on television. By Junior High School, Steve got the opportunity to meet other musicians and was heavily influenced by the Connecticut band, ‘Surprise’ with who Starcina Music Group Founder Nick Stargu was Keyboardist & singer. Steve followed the careers of members of ‘Surprise’ through other great bands of New England such as Messenger, Teaze, Canyon  & of course OREO. These bands were known for doing a wide variation & vast repertoire of the great covers of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s but also original music that was just ‘fantastic’ as Steve puts it. In 1983, Steve took all his savings and maxed out his credit cards to start his first Studio, The Traveler Studio in Manchester Connecticut which led up to the first ‘large scale’ Studio also in Manchester called ‘Vizion ( pronounced Vision ) Productions’ in a Historical District in 1989. This large facility expanded to an even larger ‘sub-level’ ( underground ) facility in early 1991 which Steve built literally by himself, often working 16 hour days, 7 days a week for 6 months! Another facility was built across town in 1992 which in essence became a ‘Mastering Facility’ that also housed a large photo/video studio. Throughout the 90’s Steve took on ‘ghosting’ assignments for many artists & groups & had built up a solid rep which gained access to the boardrooms of Major labels such as Dreamworks SKG ( Lenny Waronker ), Capitol, Virgin & Sony Music & earned Steve the title of ‘Music Producer/Engineer’ being listed in the top Music Industry listings/publications of professional Studio’s throughout the 90’s until 2001 when he retired from the Music Industry officially. In 2014, Steve met with Nick Stargu Sr. & a plan developed to eventually build a Studio that would work in virtually every aspect of music- and concentrate on ‘Sound for Film’ the dream of Founder Nick Stargu Sr. & himself.

Frank DeChichio-Drummer/percussionist ‘Animal’ for the Starcina Music Group Project. Frank has been drumming since his early days in elementary school when he wanted to play football, but his father insisted he play drums in the school band. Thank’s Mr DeChichio! Since then, Frank has progressed into the amazing, colorful, energetic and creative drummer that we have the pleasure of working with today.

Frank often co-produces and helps with arranging as well as being involved in the engineering aspects of all things percussion. Frank has performed with and created many musical groups along the way in CT from the 5 Satin’s, to local CT groups such as Long Sunday Drive, Tropical Hot Dog Band and ‘Oreo’. Frank not only was the driving force behind the groups but also in many occasions was the accountant, scheduler for rehearsals and coordinator for bookings over the years. Currently he is working in collaboration with the Starcina Music Group revamping songs and giving them a completely new feel that’s exhilarating and leaving the listener compelled to hear more.. Frank has opened up for countless national acts over the years, too many to mention, but here are a few.. The Tubes, Tower of Power and many more! Frank is very involved in the Music Production within the Studio, often creating new idea’s and arrangements ( that keep us on our toes! ) as well as mixing/engineering!
